Curriculum
The residency program has adopted the curriculum from the AOA Basic Standards for Residency Training in Emergency Medicine (Appendix Two). <www.do-online.org/pdf/sir_postdocemergstds.pdf>
Residents are given weekly chapters in Rosen and Tintinalli to review and are tested on these chapters weekly.
Morning lectures follow subject areas assigned by CORD and lectures for that given month are solely on that subject area.
Wednesday Conference is also used to fill in any gaps in the curriculum.
Resident input is encouraged, and in-fact sought. Residents are encouraged to give input anonymously at monthly resident meetings, and given the opportunity to give input with the program director when the annual reports are completed.
